Scarlet Rodriguez
Founder & Executive Director
Scarlet Rodriguez is the founder of In Her Corner and a Houston native with a lifelong commitment to youth development. She holds a master’s degree in Human Development and has years of experience working with children and teens across classrooms, mentorship programs, community initiatives, and sports environments.
A former athlete, Scarlet brings a warm, engaging, and strengths-based approach to supporting young people. She created In Her Corner to ensure every girl has a space where she feels supported, seen, and confident, and where growth is nurtured through connection, conversation, and positive role models.
Melanie Rushe
Board President
Melanie Rushe brings more than 25 years of experience in wellness psychology, community wellbeing, and trust and safety. Her background includes program development, organizational culture, and creating environments where young people feel supported and secure.
Syd Gerbracht
Leadership & Development
Syd Gerbracht is a leadership and performance coach with over a decade of experience training teams, building systems, and supporting growth. She brings a people-centered approach to leadership development.
Brooke Murphy
Operations & Board Secretary
Brooke brings over 20 years of experience in legal operations and organizational leadership. Her work includes strengthening governance practices, improving systems, and guiding teams with clarity and care.
Erin White
Finance & Treasurer
Erin White brings decades of experience in tax strategy, compliance, and financial operations. Her guidance helps ensure the foundation remains financially sound and built for long-term impact.
Stephanie Guerra
Legal Support
Stephanie Guerra serves as an Associate Director in tax law, specializing in compliance and complex credits. With prior experience at the U.S. District Court and the Texas Attorney General’s Office, she helps ensure In Her Corner operates with integrity and clarity.
Bria Bolden
Communications & Public Relations
Bria Bolden is an Emmy-nominated storyteller and communications strategist with nearly eight years of experience in journalism and public engagement. She leads messaging and communications with clarity, creativity, and purpose.
