Mentorship
Every Girl Deserves Someone in Her Corner
Each girl in our program is matched with a mentor who meets with her weekly. Mentors provide consistent encouragement, guidance, and care. Through these one-on-one sessions and shared experiences, girls build confidence, practice life skills, and discover the courage to be themselves.
What Mentorship Looks Like at IHC
-
Girls meet one-on-one with their mentor once a week, either in person or virtually. These sessions focus on building confidence, practicing communication, and setting personal goals.
-
Mentors are carefully selected and screened. They are committed, relatable role models who provide steady encouragement and guidance.
-
In addition to weekly mentorship, girls are invited to participate in community events that give them opportunities to connect with peers, try new activities, and celebrate growth together. Mentors are also present beyond the weekly sessions, supporting girls at events and cheering them on at sports games. They show up in meaningful ways to remind them they are never alone on their journey.
